Terms of Use

Effective date: October 7, 2026 · Publisher: Ozcan Zafer AYAN (individual developer) · destek@gethearnote.com

These terms govern your use of the Hearnote iOS app and related services (the “Service”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Hearnote transcribes audio recordings, labels speakers, adds timestamps, creates AI summaries and key points, and lets you export text as TXT, SRT, VTT or PDF. Third-party AI providers are used for transcription and summaries.

2. Free use

Each device gets a one-time 30 minutes of free transcription, summaries included. It is granted once per device and is not renewed by deleting and reinstalling the app. Free use shows a small banner ad.

3. Pro subscription

4. Your responsibilities

5. Your content

Your recordings, transcripts and summaries belong to you. You give us permission to process them only as needed to provide the Service (transcribe, summarise and deliver them to you). We don't use your content for anything else.

6. Machine-generated output

Transcripts and summaries are generated automatically and may contain errors, such as misheard words, wrong speaker labels or missing phrases. For important decisions (for example medical, legal or financial ones), check the text against the original recording.

7. Apple's Standard EULA

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms apply in addition to it. Apple is not responsible for maintaining or supporting the app.

8. Changes to the Service

We may change features, supported languages or providers to improve the Service. If a paid feature changes significantly to your disadvantage, we will tell you in advance.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. We can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the previous 12 months. Because recordings are stored on your device, we recommend exporting important ones as a backup.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. For consumer disputes, Turkish Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts have jurisdiction within statutory limits. If you live in another country, the mandatory consumer rights of that country still apply to you.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the effective date is shown at the top. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new terms. Questions: destek@gethearnote.com.
